The Newfoundland Distillery Company

Founded in 2016 by William Carter and Peter Wilkins, The Newfoundland Distillery Company celebrates the unique terroir of Newfoundland through distinctive spirits made from local ingredients. As the first craft distillery in Newfoundland and Labrador, it uses locally grown barley as the base for many of
its products. Ingredients such as juniper and others are harvested locally, either from the land or sea, ensuring the purity and authenticity of their spirits. Enjoy a tour and tasting session to experience the true flavours of Newfoundland.
Shoreline Heritage Walking Trail

Take a scenic walk along the Shoreline Heritage Walking Trail in Bay Roberts. Experience the early settlement of the area with historic sites such as gravesites, foundations, rock walls, and root cellars that tell the story of its past. Listen to the waves on the beaches, watch whales frolic, and see capelin roll in season.
When icebergs are drifting, they can be spotted from this beautiful shoreline trail.
Burnt Head Trail

This 3.1 km loop starts between the Anglican Cemetery and Perchance Theatre at the top of Burnt Head Loop. Wander through woods, meadows, and coastal paths to discover a natural sea arch, a small waterfall, and traces of old settlements. Look out for blueberries in season and enjoy trail interpretation signs with QR code links for more info. The trail takes about 52 minutes to complete and is ideal for birding, hiking, and snowshoeing.
Plan your visit between April and September for the best experience, and remember that dogs are welcome but must be on a leash.
